500 backpacks are secured. Now, we need your help filling them.
We have 5 more days to collect the remaining items needed for our 3rd Annual Back-to-School Fest. Our goal isn't simply to have backpacks available—it’s to ensure we fill each one with essential supplies and welcome our community into a day that is fully supported and offered at no cost.
Your contribution will help us fill each backpacks with school essentials, provide food and beverages for our neighbors, create family-friendly experiences throughout the day, and cover the final provisions needed to make it all possible.

how we put support into motion

We believe movement can do more.
Every class, run, service project, and community experience is designed to create opportunities for healthier lives and stronger neighborhoods. Through movement, we bring people together, create access to wellness, and help move our city forward.
Café Classes
Movement should be accessible to every body.
Our Café Classes take place Monday through Thursday, with additional Saturday experiences throughout the year. Designed to improve strength, cardiovascular health, mobility, and overall wellness, these classes create opportunities for people of all ages to prioritize their health in a welcoming environment.
More than 70% of City Sweat Club experiences have been offered at no cost to participants. Through our “05” and “06” Programs alone, we've moved 413 people and counting.
Resourceful Reps
Sometimes movement looks like a workout. Sometimes it looks like showing up with a backpack, a coat, a pair of shoes, or a donation for a neighbor.
Through fundraising fitness events, collection drives, and community campaigns, we turn movement into meaningful action and resources for those who need them most.
Our movement isn't just about improving ourselves—it's about showing up for others, too.

Healthy communities start with knowledge.
City Meals introduces youth and families to nutrition, healthier food choices, and practical wellness habits through hands-on experiences and education.
By creating opportunities to learn today, we're helping the next generation make informed decisions for tomorrow.

Our Community Closets give new life to clothing, shoes, and household essentials by placing them directly into the hands of neighbors who can use them.
Items are collected, sorted, refreshed, and prepared by our volunteers before distribution.
What one family no longer needs can become exactly what another family has been searching for.
It all started with a run on Woodward Ave. Since then, we’ve been running on purpose. Taking the unbeaten path, using fitness to make moves for social impact:
250+ wellness experiences
4,500+ people moved | 1,300+ families supported
500+ service hours across Detroit
With the establishment of City Sweat Club Foundation, we carry that momentum forward.
A contribution fuels more than movement. It unlocks opportunity and expands what’s possible for individuals and families across our city.
Through the Foundation, support powers wellness experiences, Community Closets providing clothing and essential resources, and preventative health programming—grounded in our pillars: Run. Sweat. Serve.
We run toward possibility, sweat with intention, and serve with humility. Making healthy moves practical, not aspirational.
Make an
impact today
built by community
Shortly after celebrating one year of impact, City Sweat Club stepped into a space to call home.
Powered by funds generated through classes, memberships, and contribution gifts from our community, we officially moved in by September and began shaping this clubhouse with intention. Every detail—painted walls, built elements, shared resources—was created by the hands of our people, members and friends that have found value serving the city alongside us, that have consciously decided to now serve the club.
Built together, to be a place where people can gather, connect, and feel something real. That’s the energy we intend for all to experience each time they enter the club.
