Celebrate: Anniversary Run + Walk

June 26, 2024, we took our first steps through the city.

What began as a weekly run became something much greater than fitness. Since then, we've hosted more than 250 wellness experiences, moved over 4,400 people, supported more than 1,300 families, and contributed over 500 hours of service throughout the city.

Running brought us together. Purpose kept us moving. None of it happened alone.

To every friend, volunteer, donor, partner, instructor, and neighbor who chose to step with us long this journey, we thank you, sincerely. We've come a long way. No finish line in sight.

Let's celebrate two years of sweat and service in the city, and step into what's next together.

Two years dedicated to moving this city forward.

Throughout Anniversary Week, we'll gather Monday through Thursday for movement and close out the week on Friday with a special community celebration at Opportunity Café.

All moves this week require registration. While our regularly scheduled classes are typically offered at no cost, Anniversary Week classes will be available with a $20 contribution as we raise funds for the future of the City Sweat Club Foundation and our Third Annual Back-to-School Fair this August.

Every registration helps create more opportunities for people to move, connect, and belong. It helps us expand our reach, strengthen our programming, and continue investing in proactive health throughout our city.

Most importantly, it helps us move one step closer to opening the doors of Opportunity Café as a daily resource for our community.

Following our Global Running Day Community Run + Walk, we’ll transition into FLOW—a restorative yoga and mobility experience designed to help you reset after movement and reconnect with yourself.

This special session will take place inside the auditorium as we transform the space for an intentional evening of breath, stretch, mobility, and guided movement.

It all started with a run on Woodward Ave.

Now, approaching two years later, we have a home. An established headquarters. A room for more—more opportunity, more connection, and more impact than ever before.

This was always the plan. The run club was always the first step.

Join us Wednesday, 06.03 at 6 PM as we gather at Opportunity Café before taking off at 6:30 PM for a community run + walk from our place. Stay after, explore the café, connect with community, and experience the space we’ve spent the last several months building with intention.

And for those looking to reset afterward—join us for FLOW: Yoga, Mindset + Mobility. A grounding experience designed to bring you back to balance. Please bring your own mat as we make room for more movement, more people, and more presence.
